Taking a ride?

Brandi at first didn't want to accept a ride with the soldier that stopped to offer one but it was a long way to New York City, her destination. Taking off her backpack, she placed it on the floorboard and climbed in. The first she smelt was the strong odors of Alcohol and had second thoughts about taking the ride but she was in the middle of nowhere and had been going for quite some time, intent on walking from her home in West Virginia.  Read more of the story when it becomes available next year!
